Boulder County Business Hall of Fame to induct 2015 class

LONGMONT — Eleven business leaders – including executives in the hospitality and media industries and the founders of an international business incubator – have been chosen for induction into the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame.

The 2015 class of inductees will be honored during a luncheon April 29 in Longmont.

This year’s inductees include Richard Barrett, founder of Leasetec Corp. and principal of the St. Julien Hotel and Spa; Tom Brock, founder and chief executive of Brock Media Co.; David Brown, David Cohen, Brad Feld and U.S. Rep. Jared Polis, founders of TechStars; Percy and Carolyn Conarroe, former owners of the Louisville Times, Lafayette News and Erie Review; Linda Snyder Crockett, owner of Snyder Jewelers; Wally Grant, of counsel for the law firm of Lyons Gaddis Kahn Hall Jeffers Dworak & Grant PC; and Dale Katechis, owner of Oskar Blues Brewery.

Percy Conarroe, who died in June 2013, will be inducted posthumously.

Inductees will be feted during an invitation-only reception March 18 at the Plaza Convention Center, home of the Hall of Fame.

Inductees, who are chosen by the hall’s board of directors from a list of nominees, have been instrumental through business-related efforts in providing direction, energy and support to the shaping of Boulder County. Nominees are evaluated based on favorable impact on the community, notable business innovations, corporate philanthropic activities, and business and civic achievements.

Including this year’s class, more than 160 people have been inducted into the hall, which was established in 1992. The first class was inducted in 1993.
