Funds to help seniors’ flood-recovery work

BOULDER – The nonprofit group Boulder County CareConnect received a $119,000 grant to create a program so senior volunteers can conduct flood-recovery projects in the county.

Boulder-based Boulder County CareConnect received the grant from The Corporation for National and Community Service nonprofit group in New York. Flooding in Boulder County in mid-September caused an estimated $90 million in road and bridge damage, and millions more in damage to homes and community infrastructure.
