9 NoCo companies on Inc. 5000 list

Nine Northern Colorado-based companies made this year’s Inc. 5000 fastest-growing list, including four each from Loveland and Fort Collins.

Madwire Media of Loveland ranked as the second-fastest growing company in the state with 5,254 percent growth from 2009 to 2012. Only Boulder-based Trada, an advertising services company, topped Madwire in Colorado.

Madwire ranked No. 52 on the nationwide list, which every year ranks the 5,000 fastest-growing privately-held companies in the country by examining three years’ worth of revenue.

Madwire announced this month that it would expand its operations by moving into office space above the Rialto Theater Center in Loveland. Madwire has been offered $2.9 million in incentives from the state to remain in Colorado. The incentives are linked to Madwire’s ability to create 300 jobs during the next five years.

Other Northern Colorado companies on the list are:

  • OtterBox, Fort Collins, with 1,081 percent growth
  • Niner Bikes, Fort Collins, with 416 percent growth
  • SafeSite, Loveland, with 358 percent growth
  • Employment Solutions, Fort Collins, with 221 percent growth
  • EnergyLogic, Berthoud, with 92 percent growth
  • Vision Graphics, Loveland, with 62 percent growth
  • SAFEbuilt, Loveland, with 45 percent growth
  • New Belgium Brewing, Fort Collins, with 41 percent growth
