Mercury 100: OtterBox ranks No. 1 in revenue growth

FORT COLLINS – Mobile case technology manufacturer OtterBox took the top spot in the Northern Colorado Business Report’s Mercury 100, a list ranking the region’s fastest-growing companies.

OtterBox, based in Fort Collins, saw a 238-percent increase in revenue over two years in the category ranking companies exceeding revenues of $17 million.

The company reported $573.9 million in 2012 revenue vs. $170 million in 2010. OtterBox employs about 570 people.

The Northern Colorado Business Report compiled lists of 100 companies separated into five flights of 20 companies each. The companies were recognized at an annual award ceremony at the Midtown Arts Center on Tuesday night.

Madwire Media, a Loveland internet marketing company, ranked No. 1 of companies with 2012 revenues between $5.25 million and $16.9 million. Madwire’s revenues surged 789 percent from $787,000 to $7 million over two years. Madwire has 180 employees.

Green Ride Co. Inc. of Fort Collins came in first of companies with revenues between $2.84 million and $5.24 million. Revenues of the transportation company grew to $3.1 million from $1.4 million, a 128 percent increase. Green Ride employs 110 people.

Affordable Restoration, a roofing and restoration company, took the top spot of companies with revenues between $1.65 million and $2.83 million. Affordable Restoration revenues grew 484 percent from $400,000 to $2.3 million. The company has 26 employees.

In the category of companies with $1.64 million or less, Rocky Mountain Hydroseeding LLC placed No. 1. The agricultural seeding and spraying company saw its revenues rise 407 percent from $148,000 to $750,000.
