Heath begins construction on Wyoming Air Force base

Heath Construction has begun work on the Wyoming-based Nuclear Space Security Tactics Training Center at Camp Guernsey.

The $3.9 million facility will provide 14,400 square feet for classrooms, administrative space, weapons and ammunition storage, range equipment storage and restroom and locker areas. The building has been designed to achieve Silver LEED certification.

Joining Fort Collins-based Heath on the project will be Berger, Devine, Yaeger Inc., a Kansas-based architecture firm.

Heath last year completed renovation of a dormitory at the F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyo., and took on a project to build a facility at the Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora.
