Volvo Rents opens near Longmont

LONGMONT – Construction equipment rental firm Volvo Rents opened a west region office in an industrial area east of Interstate 25 near Longmont.

The location at 4068 Camelot Circle, called Volvo Rents Longmont, is the newest one for Volvo Rents, which is based in Asheville, North Carolina. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Volvo Group, which operates about 70 rental stores across North America.

Seven-year Volvo Rents employee Tim Herzog will serve as vice president of the west region and will oversee rentals and sales in the western United States and Canada.

About 10 people are expected to work in the office near Longmont, according to a company press release.

The company currently is focused on regional expansion, Herzog said in the press release.

Volvo Rents stores rent construction equipment for commercial and industrial markets. Its own Volvo line includes compact excavators, compactors, wheel loaders, backhoe loaders, compaction equipment and ski steer loaders.

The west region office also will handle used equipment sales.
