Input on Parks and Wildlife merger sought
DENVER – The Colorado Department of Natural Resources is seeking input
on a merger of the state’s former parks and wildlife agencies to create
the Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife.
The merger of Colorado State Parks and the Division of Wildlife took
effect July 1, after Gov. John Hickenlooper won support for the measure
in the 2011 legislative session as part of his effort to streamline
government.
The DNR wants public comments on the development the unified commission,
