Making Connections

Networking is likely THE most talked about and valuable job search skill. So often, it’s who you know, not what you know that lands you a in a new position. Most job searchers bristle when they hear the word “networking.” The idea that you must network in order to find work can paralyze the average introvert. Extroverts don’t dread networking quite so much but that does not necessarily mean that they know how to effectively connect with others.

Networking is an art. Done well, it opens doors. Done poorly, it can slam them shut.
