Forest Service seeking project applications
LARIMER COUNTY – The U.S. Forest Service is seeking applications for
projects that would enhance forest ecosystems or restore and improve
land health and water quality in the Pike and San Isabel National
Forests, Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forests and other nearby lands in
Chaffee, Huerfano, Larimer and Park counties.
About $500,000 in funding is expected to be available for projects in
these counties. Proposals will be reviewed by both the U.S. Forest
Service and cities and counties in the designated counties.
The deadline to apply is Sept. 15. Application forms are available
online under the Spotlights heading at http://fs.usda.gov/psicc or at
all Forest Service offices.
