NCBR brings home two awards

MINNEAPOLIS – Northern Colorado Business Report agriculture writer Steve Porter was honored Saturday by the Alliance of Area Business Publications for his 2008 reporting on Johnson Dairy. AABP presented Porter a silver award in the category of best scoop by a small tabloid for his story outlining FDA concerns over the dairy’s use of medications in the herd.

NCBR also received recognition at the trade association’s annual conference for the best idea in the events category, for working with its marketing partners to increase participation and exposure. The award was shared by Sales Manager Sandy Powell and Marketing Manger De Dahlgren.
