Advanced Energy reports third quarter sales up

FORT COLLINS – Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ:AEIS) reported third quarter sales of $107.7 million, up 3 percent over second quarter sales and up 36.7 percent over the same quarter one year ago.

“Sales continued at record levels in the third quarter, driven by continued strength in sales to semiconductor and advanced products customers,´ said Dr. Hans Betz, AE’s president and chief executive officer, in a press release. “Within the advanced products category, sales to solar panel customers increased 42 percent sequentially as our presence in this market continues to progress.”

In its third quarter financial statement, AE said it “anticipates fourth quarter sales in the range of $101 million to $105 million with earnings per share in the range of $0.33 to $0.36.
