Colorado’s tech sector shows strength
Despite an overall decrease in tech sector employment, Colorado ranked high for several measures of tech industry strength, according to a report from American Electronics Association.
Even after a loss of 2,500 technology jobs from 2003 to 2004, Colorado ranked No. 1 in the country for its concentration of tech workers. The report – “Cyberstates 2006: A Complete State-by-State Overview of the High-Technology Industry” – found that high-technology companies employed 89 of every 1,000 private sector workers in the state.
