Anspach Family
Dee and Glen Anspach moved to Lafayette in 1955 and opened a small jewelry business, which has grown into one of Lafayette?s longest established businesses, Anspach?s Jewelry. Their son, Graig, now manages the business and does most of the design and custom jewelry work.

Dee and Glen generously gave back to the community that supported them, both monetarily and by their involvement with 4-H, the Lafayette Volunteer Fire Department, the Methodist church, several civic functions and other community organizations.

Their children, Graig, Denise and Dawn, and several grandchildren have contributed to the family business and have continued the community involvement begun by their parents.

Ron Cheyney
In 1974 Ron Cheyney was touring the United States on a motorcycle when he ran out of money in Longmont. He worked odd jobs for a few years before starting a typesetting business in 1978. The business grew and soon became Ron?s Printing Center.
During the next 27 years Ron helped many charitable organizations including Meals on Wheels and the Addiction Treatment Center of Longmont, served on nonprofit boards including the YMCA, and helped shape the revitalization of downtown Longmont.
Ron is affectionately referred to as ?Mr. Downtown.?

Richard Foy, Henry Beer & Janet Martin
Since co-founding Communication Arts Inc. in 1973, Richard Foy, Henry Beer and Janet Martin have pioneered an international design business that melds architecture, interiors, urban design, branding, marketing and environmental graphics. They are known for innovative ideas that reflect and enhance people?s lives, projects that connect to audiences, and memorable places that produce desirable outcomes.

They have been significant participants in Community Food Share, Colorado Music Festival, Historic Boulder, Boulder Landmarks Preservation Advisory Board, Downtown Boulder Design Advisory Board, University of Colorado, the Boulder Chamber of Commerce and more.

Ted & Carolyn Manzanares
Ted and Carolyn Manzanares are Boulder County natives who have operated Senor T?s, a Mexican restaurant in Louisville, for the past 33 years. They opened the business in the historic Red and White grocery store building in the 700 block of Main Street, later moving to a historic building on the 800 block that was originally the Rex Theater.

With endurance and strong work ethics, they were able to build a large clientele.

They also gave community service a high priority including contributions and participation in Boy and Girl Scouts, Little League, local schools, the Louisville Downtown Business Association and others.

Ted and Carolyn daily live their motto: ?Do kindness to your fellow man now, as we will not pass this away again.?

William J. Suitts
Bill Suitts of Boulder founded Colorado Mortgage Co. in 1958 and still serves as its president. It has provided financing for residential projects in the city and county for more than 5,000 single-family homes.

Bill was responsible for the creation of local landmark neighborhoods, including Boulder?s Martin Acres, Keewaydin Meadows and Frasier Meadows, and Centennial Valley and Continental View Estates in Louisville and Indian Peaks in Lafayette.

Very active in the community, Bill was a major contributor to both the University of Colorado and the University of Denver.

Bill says of his career, ?Throughout my life no amount of success in any business venture can compare to the true happiness and love that my wife of 57 years, our three children and seven grandchildren have bestowed upon me. In my business life the two accomplishments of which I am most proud are being able to provide so many families with truly affordable housing and knowing that my firm has made the initial financing to a great number of aspiring young builders.?

Teresa Warren
After retiring from her profession in downtown revitalization to raise a family in 1987, Teresa Warren opened Off Her Rocker Antiques in Nederland in 1989.

Sixteen years later, she is still standing behind the counter managing her expanding business, commercial property and actively volunteering for the Nederland Area Chamber of Commerce (of which she is president) and the burgeoning Nederland Downtown Development Authority.

Teresa implemented the renowned Frozen Dead Guy Days, an annual event that?s helping put Nederland on the international map, along with the Nederland Summertime Fun Fair and Artisan Show.
