Peak Industries sells for $44 million

LONGMONT – Mark Hopkins, president and chief executive officer of Peak Industries Inc., has sold the company for $44 million to Delphi Medical Systems, a subsidiary of Troy, Mich.-based Delphi Corp.
Hopkins was a Northern Colorado Business Report Bravo! Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner for 2004.
Delphi Medical Systems Colorado will house key manufacturing, assembly and testing activities and integrate existing and future Delphi technologies. Sales for the business unit are expected to reach $72 million this year.
Peak Industries employs 300 people who are now Delphi Medical Systems employees.
Peak Industries was founded in 1996 as a spin off of DTM Products Inc., a Longmont-based injection-molding firm. The company specialized in manufacturing low- to mid-quantity batches of high-value products. Core products include medical equipment used in hospitals and doctors’ offices and commercial goods used by professionals and companies nationwide.
