Sam’s Club to expand in Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS – Discount store Sam’s Club has applied for a building permit to expand its south Fort Collins store by 31,512 square feet, or roughly 31 percent.

The store, located at 4700 Boardwalk Drive, current spans 99,636 square feet. The building was constructed in 1989.

According to the permit application, the expansion will cost $3.35 million in construction costs. The store, which is owned by Wal-Mart Stores Inc., plans to add 23,334 square feet of retail space. The balance of the expansion will be used for office space and warehouse space.
