Atrix licenses Eligard rights in Japan
FORT COLLINS — Atrix Laboratories Inc. (Nasdaq: ATRX) has given exclusive licensing rights to Sosei Co. Ltd. to develop and commercialize Eligard in Japan.
“With this agreement, Eligard is now licensed in over 90 percent of the worldwide market for hormonal therapies used to treat prostate cancer,´ said Atrix CEO David Bethune in a prepared statement.
The drug delivers leuprolide acetate in a sustained-release injectable formula. Leuprolide acetate is commonly used for the treatment of prostate cancer, breast cancer and endometriosis in Japan and around the world.
