Entrepreneurs panel featured at BTI breakfast

LONGMONT — The Boulder Technology Incubator, or BTI, has invited several of the Front Range’s most accomplished entrepreneurs to help it celebrate its 10th anniversary at the incubator’s annual spring awards breakfast.

The breakfast, scheduled for 7:15 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26 with exhibits continuing until 10 a.m., will be held at the Raintree Inn Conference Center, 1900 Ken Pratt Blvd. in Longmont.

A panel discussion on “Boulder Lifetime Entrepreneurs of Distinction — Lessons We Have Learned” will feature Bob Gill, chief executive officer of MobileForce and former CEO of Frontier ConferTech; Meg Hansson, founder of Geri Baby Products, Adrop Inc., Earth Inc. and PureCycle; and R.C. “Merc” Mercure, chairman of CDM Optics, Xertex Inc., Colorado Greenhouse and founder of Ball Aerospace and Colorado Venture Management.

Edward Lehman, publisher of Longmont’s Daily Times-Call and 1998 Boulder County Business Hall of Fame winner, will moderate the panel.

In its first 10 years, BTI has assisted numerous technology-based start-up companies to succeed. BTI was named the 1998 Business Incubator of the Year by the National Business Incubation Association and it received a Vision 2000 award from the U.S. Small Business Administration. Registration for the awards breakfast before Friday, May 14 is $45 per person. After that, the price is $55 per person; tables of 10 are $450.
