FHP named to Sachs HMO Honor Roll

FHP Health Care has been named to the 1995 Sachs HMO Honor Roll as one of the nation’s superior-performing HMOs.

The Sachs HMO Honor Roll is an elite group of health plans from across the nation rated by their members as being superior in their market based on

a combination of 24 different factors. FHP Health Care is one of nine HMOs selected from the largest 85 health plans in the markets surveyed.

FHP provides health care to more than 367,000 Coloradans, nearly one in 10, making it the state’s largest health plan.

The plans on the honor roll were selected based on an analysis on 85,000 consumers in 27 markets conducted by the Sachs Group. Because the

makeup of local markets varies significantly, HMOs were compared only to other plans in their local area.

Christopher Wood
Christopher Wood is editor and publisher of BizWest, a regional business journal covering Boulder, Broomfield, Larimer and Weld counties. Wood co-founded the Northern Colorado Business Report in 1995 and served as publisher of the Boulder County Business Report until the two publications were merged to form BizWest in 2014.
