Specialty Appliance to open Fort Collins store

FORT COLLINS – Specialty Appliance Inc., which has stores in Boulder and Greenwood Village, will open a new store in Fort Collins this summer.

Greg Ulvedal, president of Specialty Appliance, said he hopes to open the 3,300-square-foot store in July. The store is under construction at 3710 Mitchell Drive.

The store, which sells everything from refrigerators and dishwashers to washing machines and barbecues, will employ three or four full-time sales representatives, Ulvedal said.

Ulvedal, who lives in Arvada, decided on Fort Collins because of the growth opportunities here, he said.

“It’s a great area,” he said. “The economy’s doing well; building is starting to pick up again.”
