Monfort, Holloway join Northern Colorado Economic Alliance board
Charlie Monfort, co-owner of the Colorado Rockies, and Ed Holloway, president and co-chief executive of Synergy Resources Corp. in Platteville, have joined the board of directors of the Northern Colorado Economic Alliance.
Monfort, who also invests in real estate in Northern Colorado, and Holloway, round out the board that was announced earlier this month.
The NCEA is a new economic development organization that is expected to be operational in April, according to Mary Atchison, chief operating officer. The organization, headed by chairman Scott Ehrlich, owner of Ehrlich Motors in Greeley, and Tom Gendron, chairman and CEO of Woodward Inc. in Fort Collins, is focused on attracting primary employers to the Northern Colorado region. Primary employers provide goods and services to customers outside the immediate region.

The organization is in the process of searching for a chief executive. Atchison said as the organization ramps up it is operating virtually and expects to select a physical office by this summer.
