Law firm buys Boedecker Foundation building

BOULDER – The law firm of Porzak, Browning and Bushong this week closed on the purchase of the former Boedecker Foundation building at 2118 13th St. in Boulder, with plans to move there later this month.

Under the entity 2118 LLC, the eight-attorney firm specializing in water law paid the Boedecker Foundation $2.5 million for the property, according to county records.

Porzak, Browning and Bushong will move from 929 Pearl St., where it occupies the third floor. The new home is a 6,149-square-foot building located one block north of the Pearl Street Mall and across the street from the Boulderado Hotel.

Managing partner Glenn Porzak said Friday that his firm will move Aug. 23. The firm has been downtown since its founding in 1996.

“It was an opportunity to acquire the building and own rather than rent,” Porzak said.

Geoffrey Keys and Ronan Truesdale of Keys Commercial Real Estate in Boulder represented the seller in the deal. Ashley Overton of Keys Commercial, represented the buyer.

The Boedecker Foundation – a philanthropic organization founded by Crocs Inc. co-founder George Boedecker – has moved its operations to Broomfield and Nashville, Tenn.
