IRES: Home sales up across region

Sales of single-family homes are on the upswing in Northern Colorado.
The figures for the Loveland-Berthoud area through February were up 10.5 percent over the same period in 2011, according to a report released Friday by Loveland-based Information Real Estate Services.

Year-to-date in February, 169 homes were sold in the Loveland-Berthoud area, compared with 153 in the same period of 2011.

A total of 88 homes were sold in the Loveland-Berthoud area in February with a median sales price of $215,000, up 3.6 percent from the $207,439 median home sales price of February 2011.

Home sales through February also increased in Fort Collins, with the number of sold listings moving up by 5.7 percent from 211 year-to-date in February 2011 to 223 in the same period of 2012.

The IRES report said 116 homes were sold in Fort Collins in February with a median sales price of $230,500, down 3.6 percent from the $239,000 median sales price in February 2011.

In the Greeley-Evans market, home sales increased by 22.5 percent through February. A total of 147 homes were sold through February, up from the 120 homes sold through February 2011.

In Greeley-Evans, 82 homes were sold in February with a median sales price of $127,500, unchanged from the median sales price a year earlier.
