Impact of ProBuild acquisition for Loveland, Longmont operations unclear
DENVER — Dallas-based building products manufacturer Builders FirstSource Inc. has entered an agreement to acquire Denver-based ProBuild Holdings LLC in a cash transaction for approximately $1.6 billion.
ProBuild operates lumberyards, component manufacturing plants, millwork shops, gypsum yards and retail stores across 40 states, including a component manufacturing lumber yard in Longmont, and a door and window showroom in Loveland.
As of Tuesday, it was unclear how the acquisition would affect ProBuild’s operations in Longmont and Loveland.
Builders FirstSource (Nasdaq: BLDR) operates 56 distribution centers and 56 manufacturing plants in nine states, mostly in the southern and eastern United States.
