Fort Collins, Greeley on NAHB’s ‘improving markets’ list

Fort Collins and Greeley are both listed on the National Association of Home Builders “improving markets” list for January.

The list tracks housing markets throughout the country that are showing signs of improving economic health by examining building permit numbers, prices and employment.

In Fort Collins, the number of permits issued increased by 7.9 percent from the trough in March 2009. Greeley’s permit numbers increased by 3.6 percent from its low point in January 2009.

All of the metropolitan areas in Colorado, except for Colorado Springs, were included on the list.
