Fifteen homes sold in Boulder for $1 million-plus

There were 15 million-dollar home sales in Boulder during September, second in the metro area only to 26 in Denver.

That’s according to the latest luxury homes report from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage based on all homes sold for $1 million or more.

Luxury home sales in the Denver metro area increased 5.5 percent from the same month a year ago, from 73 to 77, but dropped from August’s count of 115.

Median sale price dipped compared with a year ago, down 3.6 percent to $1.32 million. But the number of $2 million homes increased from 12 to 14, and the average number of days on the market dropped dramatically from 102 a year ago to 55.7 in September this year.

The most expensive sale in the area was a seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom, 16,000-square-foot home in Cherry Hills Village that went for $4.8 million.
