Drone firms await commercial-use rules

Several local businesses are anxiously awaiting an announcement from a Federal Aviation Administration task force about whether and to what extent drones can be used for commercial use.

The Longmont Times-Call reported that a decision is due Friday from the task force. The FAA in February proposed ules that would allow for widespread registration of small, commercial drones – and many business opportunities.
