Nonprofit notes 
The Agrium Women’s Leadership Group donated $10,000 in support of Education and Life Training Center’s employment skills training coursework and transitions support services. The organization will also be lending employee expertise to support ELTC’s job seeking students with professional development activities, and supporting agency social enterprise efforts through computer donations. This collaboration will allow the agency to have a greater effect on participants’ success on the path to a better life.

The Rotary Club of Fort Collins Breakfast contributed $2,000 to the Education and Life Training Center Scholarship program. The funds will specifically support clients who come to ELTC from the Matthews House and Project Self-Sufficiency to enroll in ELTC’s educational program offerings. The Breakfast Rotary’s generosity will help further the missions of three local nonprofits that are committed to collaborating to make significant impact on the self-sufficiency of Larimer County youth and single-parents.

KUDOS
Drahota received two awards from Fire Chief Magazine’s Station Style Design Awards. The awards honor innovative design and construction of public safety facilities across the country. West Vail Fire Station No. 3 and Poudre Fire Station No. 4 both received honors. West Vail Fire Station was designed as a single-company facility at approximately 15,000 square feet, which includes a main level and upper level to accommodate the resident firefighter program. The new Poudre Fire Station, located in Fort Collins, is a 16,000-square-foot, two-company station that incorporates a variety of green building techniques. Both facilities were designed by Fort Collins-based architecture firm Belford Watkins Group.

At Bohemian Cos., the program includes regular employee lunch ‘n learns and a Commit to be Fit physical activity campaign. Bohemian is one of about 50 Fort Collins organizations involved in the Well City Initiative and the 15th organization to receive the Well Workplace Award just a few months after Foothills Gateway received its award.

Fort Collins-based Maxey Manufacturing Inc. has passed the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers’ safety compliance consultation, part of NATM’s compliance program based on the NATM Guidelines for Recommended Minimum Manufacturing Practices for Light- and Medium-Duty Trailers. The Guidelines is a compilation of federal safety standards and regulations and industry best practices that govern trailer construction.

NEW LOCATION
Office equipment dealer Capital Business Systems announced that it has moved into a new office building at 4812 McMurry Ave., Suite 190, in Fort Collins. The move allows Capital Business Systems to better support the growing customer base and service areas by providing more space for the Northern Colorado office. At 7,500 square feet, the space will now house a parts and supplies distribution warehouse.

NEW NAME
Brierley Associates LLC announced its Lyman Henn division changed its name to Brierley Associates effective Jan. 1. Brierley Associates acquired Lyman Henn on Jan. 1, 2010. It has operated the Denver and Fort Collins-based specialty geotechnical, tunneling, and trenchless services group as a separate division for two years.

Formerly known as the Thank You Loveland Luncheon, McKee Thanks will continue in the same tradition of recognizing and thanking the Loveland community for its support of McKee Medical Center with a lunch event. McKee Thanks will take place 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 8, at the McKee Conference and Wellness Center.

DEALS
Vision Graphics Inc., a print and marketing communication solutions provider, announced it acquired Eagle:XM, a marketing solutions platform company, based in Denver. Eagle:xm, whose clients include leaders in the cable, entertainment and healthcare industries, offers technology that is designed to integrate media solutions across multiple marketing channels for research and strategy development, channel selection, database management and analysis. The stock purchase agreement was completed this month with terms of the transaction not disclosed.
