BioBoot Camp held in April

DENVER – The Colorado BioScience Association says it will hold a two-day “BioBoot Camp” April 18 and 19 for startups to learn how to build their companies and commercialize life science technologies while avoiding “dangerous pitfalls” along the way.

Jonathan Thorne, CEO of Edgeport Surgical in Boulder, will speak about starting a life science company. Michael Weiner, a partner in business law firm Dorsey, will speak about starting a business.

Representatives of CU and CSU technology transfer offices also will speak about commercialization and funding opportunities.

Colorado Center for Drug Discovery and Colorado Institute for Drug, Device and Diagnostic Development and Colorado BioScience Association representatives also will speak.

The session takes place at Dorsey in Denver. There’s no fee for the program, but candidates must apply here by April 5.
