CBRE moves office in Boulder to downtown area

BOULDER — CBRE Group Inc., a commercial real estate services and investment firm based in Los Angeles, will move its office in Boulder to the city’s downtown area in the Wencel Building at 1301 Walnut St., on April 3.

CBRE (NYSE: CBG) is moving the office from 1600 Range St., which it opened in 2014. It also operates offices in Fort Collins, downtown Denver, the Denver Tech Center and Colorado Springs.

CBRE is leasing the 2,000-square-foot space from W.W. Reynolds Cos., owner of the Wencel Building. Lease rates were not disclosed.

“Downtown Boulder is truly unique in its vibrancy and sense of community, and we wanted to seize the opportunity to be a part of that landscape,” said Pete Schippits, senior managing director and market leader for CBRE in Colorado. “Centralizing our office downtown enhances the level of client service we can provide for our occupier-services business, as well as our signature landlord and investor assignments for both office and industrial,” Schippits said.

Alex Hammerstein, Marty Knape, Wade Wimmer and Brian McClenahan will provide occupier services, and Erik Abrahamson and Jeremy Kroner will handle landlord and investor assignments from CBRE’s office in Boulder.

CBRE has participated in several of the area’s notable office deals, including SolidFire Inc.’s 67,000-square-foot relocation to Pearl West, Array BioPharma Inc.’s 120,000-square-foot headquarters transaction and sovrn Holdings Inc.’s 40,000-square-foot headquarters relocation to Flatiron Park.
