Liquor stores could add locations under proposed bill

DENVER — Colorado legislators are considering a measure to allow liquor stores the ability to add locations, giving them the same ability that grocery stores achieved in a 2016 law.

The Denver Business Journal reports that Senate Bill 199 has bipartisan support. The measure would enable locally owned liquor stores to operate as many as 19 locations over the next 20 years. Liquor stores are limited to one location under current law.
