LONGMONT —  Oskar Blues Brewery will open an events/meeting room at its brewery in Longmont with a grand-opening party set for Feb. 25.

The Oak Room, at 1800 Pike Road, will have 4,275 square feet of space that can be rented out for private events. It has a private bar, custom-made oak-barrel furniture and accessories, and a 24-foot projection television screen. It can handle up to 280 occupants.

Guests will have views through windows of Oskar Blues’ barrel-aging room, and aromas of freshly roasted Hotbox Roasters coffee beans.

The grand-opening party at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, will have a Mardi Gras theme and feature tunes, craft beer, Cajun food from Oskar Blues Homemade Liquid and Solids and a costume contest. It also will feature a Guerrilla Fanfare Second Line Parade & Stilt Walkers around the brewery.

This year’s Mardi Gras soiree is headlined by Lionel Young Band, which plays blues and jazz music.
