Anson began making and selling all-natural, made-from-scratch burritos as Phil’s Fresh Foods. He first sold them out of a cooler to tourists, and now they are in major super markets.

With his promise to source only humanely and sustainably raised ingredients and commitment to leave out the “junk,” Anson is changing the industry and inviting others to do the same.

He changed the company name to EVOL Foods recently, and now, the nine-year-old business is one of the fastest-growing natural and organic brands in the country. Anson attributes Boulder as the backbone of EVOL’s growth.

Anson plans to continue to build the brand and support the Boulder community as much as possible, doing so through philanthropy and leadership.
