Raw Urth Designs planning new building to accommodate growth

FORT COLLINS —  Raw Urth Designs, a custom metalworking company based in Fort Collins that ships its products worldwide, expects to break ground on a new manufacturing/office facility this spring.

The two-story, 15,405-square-foot building will be constructed on the north side of Conifer Street between College Avenue and Red Cedar Drive.

The new building will house a showroom to display work for builders and designers, offices and an art gallery, said Amy Sasick, Raw Urth’s chief executive. Her husband, Stefan Sasick, heads the fabrication of the products, based on collaboration with designers representing their clients.

Commercial Solar is a big investment, but not an overwhelming one

Solar offers a significant economic benefit for commercial property owners while also positively impacting the environment and offering a path to compliance for new municipal requirements like Energize Denver. A local, experienced solar installer will help you navigate the complexities of commercial solar to achieve financial success for your project.

Raw Urth produces handcrafted products made of copper, bronze and brass such as stove hoods, countertops, corbels, fireplace mantels and surroundings, and sculptures.

Raw Urth, founded in 2005, operates out of a building it owns at 1313 Blue Spruce Drive. The new building on Conifer will accommodate the company’s growth. Raw Urth has 18 employees and wants to add more to keep up with growing customer demand.

“Right now, we don’t have room to expand,” Amy Sasick said.

The Sasicks bought the vacant land on Conifer Street in 2014 for $70,000 from the Mecham family.

“Industrial buildings are hard to get in Fort Collins, so we decided to buy land and build our own,” Sasick said. “We’ve been working on this plan for two years. We hope to complete construction by this fall and make the move then.”

The Sasicks plan to lease-out the building Raw Urth owns on Blue Spruce Drive.

Hauser Architects in Loveland is designing the new building, and Steve Lesondak, owner of Lesondak Construction LLC in Bellvue, is the general contractor.
