BizWest announces 2024 Women of Distinction
Fourteen women from Northern Colorado will be recognized with this year’s Women of Distinction awards, a BizWest program to acknowledge the contributions of female leaders in the region.
The 14, selected by previous recipients of the award, represent multiple categories of business and nonprofit activity.
The awards will be given out on Aug. 29 at the Ranch Events Complex in Loveland from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the FNBO Building’s north hall. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. with cocktails and appetizers, followed by the awards program.

Those to be honored, along with their categories of award, include:
- Banking: Jean Tasker, vice president, Bank of Estes Park, Estes Park.
- Business: Teri Segelke, founder and owner, J&T Country Feeds, Greeley.
- Construction: Courtney Bickford, chief financial officer, Ward Electric Co. Inc., Longmont.
- Education: Tanya Alcaraz, director of career innovation, Poudre School District, Fort Collins.
- Emerging Leader: Melanie Woolman, CEO, United Way of Weld County, Greeley.

- Leading Lady: Jeni Arndt, Mayor, City of Fort Collins.
- Manufacturing: Alex Lynch, controller, Walker Manufacturing Co., Timnath.
- Nonprofit: Kristin Glenn, founder and former executive director, 3Hopeful Hearts, Fort Collins.
- Outstanding Mentor: Ann Clarke, founder, Colorado Women of Influence, Loveland.
- Real Estate: Karent Plasencia, chief operating officer and broker associate, Sears Real Estate, Greeley.
- Publisher’s Choice: Sandy Powell, researcher and former vice president for strategic partnerships, BizWest.
