Gov. John Hickenlooper spoke to assembled regional officials who gathered to celebrate the start of the North I-25 Express Lanes project, which kicked off Monday, Sept. 10. Behind the governor was a large pile of aggregate hauled from the flood ravaged Big Thompson Canyon. Rock from the canyon, damaged by the 2013 flood, was hauled to a site near I-25 and Colorado Highway 402 and crushed for use on the I-25 project. BizWest photo by Ken Amundson
