Workshop available to businesses seeking bike-friendly status
FORT COLLINS — Bike Fort Collins, a local bicycle advocacy group, is hosting a workshop on Tuesday, March 8, for companies interested in earning Bike Friendly Business status from the League of American Bicyclists.
The event will be held at 7 p.m. at Horse and Dragon Brewing, 124 Racquette Drive. It will provide support and guidance in applying for the certification.
The Bike Friendly Business program offers a form of recognition for companies as well as a set of guidelines that help them create workplaces and a culture that encourages employees to ride and provides ease of access for cyclist customers.
With 1,132 businesses having achieved the certification so far, Fort Collins is the first city in the nation to reach 50 such businesses.
