Lightning Hybrids raises $2M in new capital to help fuel growth
LOVELAND — Lightning Hybrids LLC has raised $2 million in new equity funding as part of what company officials hope will ultimately be a $10 million round by the end of the year.
The Loveland-based maker of hybrid systems for medium- and heavy-duty fleet vehicles disclosed the new funds in a regulatory filing made this week. Vice president of marketing Bonnie Trowbridge said Tuesday that the funds came mostly from current investors.
The cash infusion comes as the company continues to grow domestically and also sniff out new markets internationally.
