Northern Colorado officials say federal funding needed for transit
The Reporter-Herald reports that transit officials in Northern Colorado are pushing for lawmakers to approve long-term transportation funding, and they say they can’t afford to wait.
Berthoud Mayor Pro-Tem Jan Dowker spoke at a “Stand Up 4 Transportation” media event Wednesday morning and said support for a federal transportation funding bill long-term extension — the bill’s set to expire at the end of next month — is vital to “set our financing so we have a platform for our future.” She added that if it doesn’t, rural communities like Berthoud will be directly impacted.
