Three companies, the head of Longmont United Hospital and economic development leader John Cody were recognized Aug. 21 at the Longmont Area Economic Council’s 14th annual Community Appreciation Luncheon. It was Cody’s last day as president and chief executive officer of the council. He was awarded a plaque for his more than 14 years on the job. The annual event created by Cody recognizes employers that have helped nonprofit groups in Longmont. At the luncheon, Intel Corp.’s office in Longmont was recognized for its contributions to Foothills United Way, craft brewer Oskar Blues LLC was recognized for its support of the OUR Center in Longmont, plastics and metals manufacturer WP Manufacturing was recognized for its support of a ministries program at Rocky Mountain Christian Church. Longmont United Hospital CEO Mitchell Carson received the Tom Brock Award.
Boulder-based Studio3 Kitchen, Bath, Interiors received the 2013 American Society of Interior Designers Crystal Award for innovative and creative kitchen design. This award is given annually to recognize Colorado’s most talented interior designers in the residential and commercial field.
