Rocky Flats fund on Internet

ARVADA — The Entrepreneur Resource Program is now on the Internet.

The goal: To encourage more ex-Rocky Flats employees and small manufacturers to take advantage of $5,000 funds available in business management assistance.

The new World Wide Web site, www.rflii.org/erp, was designed to be user-friendly. It has categories and navigational icons, making it easy to use. An e-mail form allows users to ask questions or seek more information.

Established by the Rocky Flats Local Impact Initiative, the Entrepreneur Resource Program seeks to increase employment opportunities for displaced Rocky Flats workers by promoting the growth of qualified small businesses in six emerging manufacturing industries in Colorado: electro-medical equipment, advanced materials, advanced computer systems, advanced manufacturing technology, telecommunications equipment and environmental companies.

The program is funded with a grant from the Department of Energy. Its primary goal is to provide new and existing companies with no-cost, hands-on assistance in marketing, financial strategies, legal issues, design development, personnel policy and technical information. Private business consultants, small business development centers and business incubators provide services. Call 940-6090 or contact online at www.erp/rflii.org.
