Village at Park Centre attracting new retailers
New stores still are rounding out Westminster’s retail offerings.
The Village at Park Centre, now under construction and due to be finished in less than a year,
promises to be one of Westminster’s premier retailing and related services complexes.
Developer Larry Gayeski says the center will comprise 140,000 square feet of retail space,
restaurants and business services, 200,000 square feet of offices plus a 104-room extended-stay
hotel.
Starbucks Coffee, Kinko’s and C.B.Potts Restaurant and Brew Pub are already open for
business. Chili’s restaurant is opening soon while U.S.Bank, Bellco Credit Union and the Texaco
Convenience Center are all under construction.
Gayeski says he’s not relying, however, on any larger stores to anchor this development. Its

strength, he believes, will come from its key strategic location. The site is two blocks west of
I-25 and fronts 120th Avenue at Huron Street. Each day 170,000 cars go through that junction
right next to the site.
“We are catering to the resident population and the employment population. There are more
than 10,000 people employed within a one-mile radius and more than 900 hotel rooms.
“The RTD Park-n-Ride, which services more than 1,500 cars a day, is near the site, and
Lucent Technology has 1.3 million square feet right across the street and is doing a
480,000-square-foot expansion,” Gayeski adds.
