Numerica awarded $1 million contract

Loveland — Numerica Corp., the developer of advanced algorithms and software for the defense industry, announced Wednesday it has landed a two-year, $1 million contract from the U.S. Missile Defense Agency.
The company will work to develop what it described as a “resource optimization solution for battle management.”

Numerica’s algorithm is designed to enhance the military’s ability to make better, more rapid engagement decisions during a ballistic missile raid, in case of an attack.

The company has 50 employees in its Loveland and Pasadena, Calif., offices.
