Aims plans $8 million facility in Fort Lupton

FORT LUPTON – Aims Community College announced Tuesday it will construct an $8 million facility at its campus in Fort Lupton.

The building will focus on energy technologies and agriculture programs. The 27,500-square-foot building is being designed by Denver-based SLATERPAULL architects and is expected to be complete in time for the 2013 school year.

Students working toward associate’s degrees in agribusiness, agriculture and oil and gas will have access to flexible classroom space, specific shop spaces, a lab and student lounge space.

SLATERPAULL is also designing renovations to an existing building, so the Fort Lupton campus will “feel brand new in 2013,” according to Jennifer Cordes, principal at SLATERPAULL.
