How dispatchable resources enable the clean energy transition

Platte River must prepare for the retirement of 431 megawatts (MW) of dispatchable, coal-fired generation by the end of the decade and address more frequent extreme weather events that can bring dark calms (periods when there is no sun or wind).

Entertainment will include a jazz trio, the Con Brio string quartet, a
piano and flute duo, a string trio, and the Board of Directors swing
band, all featuring members of the Greeley Philharmonic.

Tickets to the event are $45 in advance and $50 at the door. VIP access
can be purchased for an additional $20 at the event. Advance tickets can
be purchased by contacting the Union Colony Civic Center ticket office
at 970-356-5000.

A Symphony of Spirits is sponsored by Kenney’s Catering, Bitter Sweet
Liquors, Zoe’s Cafe, Elway Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Larry Hubbard and
Robert Johnson of UBS Financial Services.
