McKee physicians become hospitalists
LOVELAND – McKee Medical Center recently instituted a new hospitalist position, to be filled by physicians who are especially skilled in treating health problems that occur frequently in hospitalized patients, such as pneumonia, infections, heart attacks and congestive heart failure.
The hospital has already identified the four physicians who will share the role: Robert Brockman, Edward Norman, Antony Pearson and James Valin, who is director of the program. They all are employed by Big Thompson Medical Group, a Banner Health partner.
The hospitalists will answer questions, coordinate tests and treatments and oversee care while working with primary care physicians and other referring physicians.
