Colorado unemployment ticked down in most recent state report
DENVER — Colorado’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell one-tenth of a percentage point between August and September, the most recent figures made available by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.
CDLE paused reporting jobs data this fall during the federal government shutdown before resuming its monthly updates in December.
The not-seasonally adjusted September jobless rate in Broomfield County was 3.7%, Larimer 3.8%, Boulder County 3.9%, Weld County 4.3%.
“Over the year, the average workweek for all Colorado employees on private nonfarm payrolls decreased from 33.8 to 33.2 hours, while average hourly earnings grew from $38.62 to $39.40, two dollars and seventy-three cents more than the national average hourly earnings of $36.67,” according to CLDE’s report.
