SCOTUS rejects Colorado AG’s request to hear worker’s comp case
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court rejected Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser’s plea to hear a Denver worker’s compensation case, a decision he worries will restrict regulator authority to punish violators.
The Colorado Sun reports the dispute arose from a Colorado Department of Labor fine on a hotel in Denver that went without worker’s compensation insurance for more than four and a half years, a penalty that was later overturned by the Colorado Supreme Court.
