Aqua-Hot promotes Smith to general manager position

FREDERICK — Aqua-Hot Heating Systems has promoted Travis Smith to the position of general manager. Smith will continue in his role as director of finance.

Smith will assume some of the duties of Paul Harter, president and CEO, who is moving into the position of chairman of the board. Smith will lead the Aqua-Hot management team and oversee all aspects of company operations.

In announcing this change, Harter said in a prepared statement, “I’m excited by this transition and confident that Travis will bring his impressive skill set into his new, expanded role. Under his leadership, Aqua-Hot will continue to provide the very best value and experience to its customers and maintain its status as an employer of choice in Northern Colorado.”

Aqua-Hot, based in Frederick, manufactures hydronic heating systems for RVs, trucks, buses and off-highway equipment. The systems provide evenly distributed interior heat and on-demand continuous hot water. Models run on diesel, propane and natural gas.
