Longmont council to mull Fairgrounds Marketplace annexation
The Longmont City Council is expected to decide tonight whether to approve on first reading a 30-acre annexation and zoning request for the long-proposed Fairgrounds Marketplace mixed-use development west of Hover Street and north of Home Depot.
According to the Longmont Times-Call, neighbors to the site including many who live in unincorporated Boulder County want the council to ask for more detailed plans from the developer, who has proposed between 240 and 300 units made up of both large commercial development and multi-family buildings.
