Bohemian Foundation awards $507,000 to 32 nonprofits
FORT COLLINS— The Bohemian Foundation in Fort Collins announced on Monday that it has awarded $507,000 to 32 local nonprofit organizations that address a range of community needs from affordable housing and homelessness prevention to providing resources for grandparents raising grandchildren.
Grants are distributed through the Pharos Fund, a grant-making initiative of Bohemian Foundation that makes awards up to $30,000 to 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organizations with programs that boost public awareness or encourage and enable our youth to become productive members of society. A committee comprised of Bohemian Foundation board members, Bohemian staff and community members selects grantees through a competitive application process.
Since its inception in 2001, Bohemian Foundation Community Programs has awarded more than $14 million in Pharos Fund grants to a variety of nonprofits serving the Fort Collins area.

Book Trust, $25,000, general support.
lCache La Poudre Middle School, Poudre School District, $17,500, after school program.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Larimer County, $15,000, court-appointed advocates.
Center for Public Deliberation at CSU, $20,000, general support.
ChildSafe Colorado, $10,000, general support.
Crossroads Safehouse, $20,000, youth program.
Department of Human Development and Family Studies at CSU, $30,000, mentoring at-risk youth.
Early Childhood Council of Larimer County, $10,000, supporting youth.
Food Bank for Larimer County, $25,000, food share.
Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, $25,000, general support.
Fort Collins Soccer Club, $5,000, scholarship program.
Friends of the Gardeners on Spring Creek, $5,000, plant it forward program.
HalfMoon Arts, $7,000, youth-apprenticeship program.
Homelessness Prevention Initiative, $20,000, rental-assistance program.
Irish Elementary School, Poudre School District, $10,000, Village Day.
Larimer County Child Advocacy Center, $10,000, school-based program “Talk About Touching.”
Larimer County Partners Inc., Partners mentoring Youth, $20,000, mentoring youth.
Launch: Community Through Skateboarding, $5,000, creative center.
Lincoln 1B World Middle School, Poudre School District, $20,000, open-door project.
Little Shop of Physics at CSU, $20,000, enhancing the science experience.
Live the Victory, The Matthews House, $25,000, empowering youth program.

Project Self-Sufficiency of Loveland-Fort Collins, $20,000, cars for families program
